We arenʼt phased by unusual materials – although we are absolutely capable of machining conventional aluminium and steel grades, we also regularly source and machine far more exotic metals, including nickel alloys such as Hastelloy, for applications where excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature performance is required. In addition to these, our range of engineered plastics and elastomers enables us to manufacture components which are inherently light weight, low cost, self-lubricating, and require no additional finishing processes. Our in-house 3D printing service allows rapid prototyping of development parts for fit-up trials and cost-effective manufacture of complex geometries.

We have manufactured subsea sealing systems capable of withstanding pressures up to 1700Bar within a packaging space less than Ø40 x 20mm, and at the other end of the spectrum have provided ultra-low friction seals for use in laboratory-grade measurement equipment.
Cheshire Seals & Components also produce high precision turned and milled scientific equipment componentry – including pneumatic manifolds, Nimonic ion repellors for mass spectrometers, sensor mounting plates, and bespoke fasteners and bracketry.
With access to trusted partners capable of extending our manufacturing offering to include precision ground parts, we are capable of providing fully finished parts that are ready for immediate use. Our CNC engraver can also be used to ensure that part numbers, issue/revision levels etc can be imprinted directly on your parts, improving traceability.
