TEMPERATURE

Plastics come in many different types and have many different properties so it is vital that the optimum material is selected for the duty required by the component.
Advanced Engineering Plastics are those that have particularly high resistance to temperature in combination with high structural integrity. 
There is sometimes more than one choice for an application. Other factors are very critical, for instance, the media in contact with the component and the duty to which it is put.
There are materials that can perform continuously at temperatures in excess of 340ºC, and as these plastics can be very expensive and difficult to process, CS&C can advise which material will be most cost affective for you.
